Terms & Conditions, Liability & Copyright Agreement

Dog Behaviourist Scotland Ltd (Trading as Scottish Dog Behaviourist)

By booking, accessing, or using any services provided by Scottish Dog Behaviourist, you agree to the following terms.

1. Business Details

Services are provided by Dog Behaviourist Scotland Ltd, operated by Craig Avery, trading as Scottish Dog Behaviourist.

These terms apply to all:

One-to-one behaviour consultations
Training plans and written materials
Online content and courses (including Kajabi)
Any related communication, advice, or support

2. Bookings, Deposits & Payments

A booking is confirmed once a deposit has been paid.

The remaining balance is due in full at the end of the first session unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Failure to pay the remaining balance may result in:

Withholding of training plans or follow-up support
Cancellation of ongoing services

3. Cancellations & Refunds

A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling.

Deposits are non-refundable unless:

At least 7 days’ notice is provided, and
The appointment slot can be refilled at the trainer’s discretion

No refunds will be given for:

Missed appointments
Late cancellations
Services already delivered

4. Right to Refuse or Terminate Services

Services may be refused or terminated at any time if:

A client behaves in a way that is aggressive, inappropriate, or unreasonable
The environment is deemed unsafe
Instructions are consistently ignored
The trainer feels uncomfortable or at risk

In such cases, no refund will be issued.

5. No Guarantees

Dog behaviour is influenced by many variables beyond the trainer’s control.

No guarantees are given regarding:

Behavioural outcomes
Speed of progress
Resolution of specific issues

Results depend entirely on the client’s consistency, handling, and commitment to the training plan.

6. Client Responsibility

By engaging services, you accept full responsibility for:

Your dog’s behaviour at all times
Any injury or damage caused by your dog
Following all training guidance provided

You agree to disclose any known behavioural issues, including aggression or bite history, prior to sessions.

7. Liability Waiver

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dog Behaviourist Scotland Ltd accepts no liability for:

Injury to any person
Injury to any animal
Damage to property
Losses arising from the application or misapplication of training advice

All training and handling is undertaken at the owner’s own risk.

8. Media & Content Use

Photos and videos may be taken during sessions for training, educational, or marketing purposes.

These will only be used with the client’s verbal or written consent.

If consent is given, you grant Dog Behaviourist Scotland Ltd the right to use this material across:

Website
Social media
Marketing content

You may withdraw consent at any time in writing.

9. Copyright & Intellectual Property

All content provided is the intellectual property of Dog Behaviourist Scotland Ltd.

This includes:

Training plans
Handouts
Written advice
Videos and course materials
Kajabi-hosted content
Website content

All materials are protected under Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988.

Content may not be:

Copied
Reproduced
Distributed
Taught to others
Used commercially

without prior written permission.

10. Personal Use Only

Training materials are provided for personal use with your own dog only.

They must not be used for:

Training other clients
Running classes
Creating derivative programmes
Sharing with third parties

11. Digital Content & Online Platforms

Access to any online content (including Kajabi) is granted on an individual basis.

You may not:

Share login details
Distribute content
Record, copy, or reproduce materials

Breach of this will result in:

Immediate termination of access
No refund
Potential legal action

12. Branding & Identity

“Scottish Dog Behaviourist” and all associated branding remain the property of Dog Behaviourist Scotland Ltd.

They may not be used in any way that suggests:

Partnership
Endorsement
Affiliation

without written consent.

13. Enforcement

Unauthorised use of any content, materials, or intellectual property may result in legal action, including claims for damages and recovery of losses.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Scotland.
